Do you have any appreciation for the gotchas that would arise when you went to implement a raw input handler, like figuring out which thread has the message pump, putting the raw input handler on that thread, and making sure that it hands it's data over to the other subsystems in a thread-safe manner?ĭid you even download and browse the source code that was attached to that project? Do you want someone using demonstration code that they downloaded off the Internet to implement the input subsystem in your video game? How much time would it take to validate the demonstration code and ensure that all corner cases and error conditions are handled appropriately? Looks like you read my post in the other thread.
